We have a lot of submissions this year for both SARCE LAX and SARCE AUS, including the SARCE AUS Attic. With all the planning that went into this, we are going to post-pone SARCE until 2020. It will be as followed:
SARCE AUS 2020 – February or March 2020
SARCE LAX 2020 – April or May 2020
The above months are not set in stone because it depends on the theaters availability. The exact dates will be publicized in the next few months. You will be the first ones to get notice. All your submissions and official selections are safe. We will not open submissions for new films as the current schedule is already full of your official selected movies.
FilmFreeway, social media, ticketing and our website will be updated with this information. The only change is SARCE 2019 will be SARCE 2020, becoming a biennial event.
The 2019 pages on this site will remain in its place. New pages will be added to add information about SARCE 2020. This will be coming soon.

What happened in 2019?
Family health. Some of you know us personally. If you do, you know that one of the directors of SARCE had a stroke three years ago (Serenity Edward, wife of Antonio Edward). If you know about subarachnoid hemorrhage, the chance of it happening again is high. Serenity is fine now but had issues over the last few months. She may not be 100% but she is pushing through it all and I had to be there for her.
2020 and Beyond
I, Antonio Edward, want to make sure each event is given my 100% attention. Every detail done to the millisecond. The who idea behind SARCE is to give filmmakers the ability to see their movie on the silver screen of a reputable movie theater with top of the line projectors and surround sound speaker system. Digital Cinema Packages, the standard format for movie theaters, requires a lot of preparation which is why it is so expensive to process. It is, basically, the perfect format.
Also, we haven’t decided on the winners of different categories. There are a lot of films to screen. We are watching them repeatedly so we can decide who will get best film, best sound, best cinematography, best director, etc.
SARCE 2020 will be here before you know it. If you haven’t sent in all your materials, please do. I will be sending Emails in the next few weeks and months, individually and through FilmFreeway bulk Email system. Please make sure you FilmFreeway profiles and film pages are up to date with your current Email address. Most of the record keeping is using the built-in tools of FilmFreeway.
Ticket Sales
Once we have exact dates and times for SARCE 2020, ticket sales will be live for purchase. If you have any questions, please Email info@sarce.us . Film Submitters will get promo codes for two discounted tickets.
